Graduate Representation Needed at UC Systemwide Committees!

Pat Ordonez-Kim, Executive Director

Oct 30, 2022

GET INVOLVED UC-WIDE AND MAKE AN IMPACT SYSTEMWIDE!

As the official voice of the UC graduate and professional students, UCGPC will nominate students to sit on UC systemwide committees. Systemwide committees confront issues in admissions policy, budget prioritization, and technology investments. Graduate and professional students must be represented in these committees.

Applications are due before November 3rd, 2022. Selected applicants will serve immediately and will regularly report to UCGPC.

Use the application linked below to apply. UCGPC accepts applications on a rolling deadline based on each committee’s meeting and recruitment schedule. Suppose you apply for a committee that is currently not recruiting. In that case, we will hold your application until there is an opening.

Systemwide committees meetings will have different locations, times, and frequency. Most committee meetings are held at the UCOP offices in Oakland, CA, although many committees meet via conference calls. The UC Office of the President covers travel for students who travel to UCOP offices. Students must be in good academic standing, and UCOP will confirm students’ status with their respective campuses before the appointment.
